The Aleut International Association (AIA)
AIA represents Aleuts on the Russian and American Aleutian, Pribilof and Commander Islands. AIA was formed by the Aleutian/Pribilof Islands Association, U.S., one of the thirteen regional not-for-profit Alaska Native corporations created as a result of Alaska Native Settlement Claims Act in 1971, and the Association of the Indigenous Peoples of the North of the Aleut District of the Kamchatka Region of the Russian Federation (AIPNADKR). The organization was formed to address environmental and cultural concerns of the extended Aleut family whose wellbeing has been connected to the rich resources of the Bering Sea for millennia.
The Arctic Athabaskan Council (AAC)
AAC is an international treaty organization established to defend the rights and further the interests internationally of American and Canadian Athabaskan members First Nation governments in the eight-nation Arctic Council and other international fora. AAC seeks to foster a greater understanding of the shared heritage of Athabaskan peoples of the Arctic North America.

Created in 2007 as a coordinating body mandated to implement the 10-year Tripartite First Nations Health Plan.
The Gwich'in Council International (GCI)
GCI was established as a non-profit organization in 1999 by the Gwich'in Tribal Council in Inuvik, NWT, to ensure all regions of the Gwich'in Nation in the Northwest Territories, Yukon and Alaska are represented at the Arctic Council, as well as to play an active and significant role in the development of policies that relate to the Circumpolar Arctic. GCI has a number of priorities that relate to the environment, youth, culture and tradition, social and economic development and education.
Inuit Circumpolar Council (ICC)
To thrive in their circumpolar homeland, Inuit had the vision to realize they must speak with a united voice on issues of common concern and combine their energies and talents towards protecting and promoting their way of life. The principal goals of ICC are, therefore, to: strengthen unity among Inuit of the circumpolar region; promote Inuit rights and interests on an international level; develop and encourage long-term policies that safeguard the Arctic environment; and seek full and active partnership in the political, economic, and social development of circumpolar regions.
Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami (ITK)
Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami (ITK) is the national voice of 55,000 Inuit living in 53 communities across the Inuvialuit Settlement Region (Northwest Territories), Nunavut, Nunavik (Northern Quebec), and Nunatsiavut (Northern Labrador), land claims regions. Inuit call this vast region Inuit Nunangat. Founded in 1971 ITK represents and promotes the interests of Inuit on a wide variety of environmental, social, cultural, and political, issues and challenges facing Inuit on the national level. ITK does not deliver or fund programs, rather it is a national advocacy organization.

Russian Association of Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and Far East (RAIPON)
RAIPON unites 41 indigenous groups whose total population is around 250,000 people. RAIPON is a public organization that has as its goal the protection of human rights, defense of the legal interests of indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East, and the assistance in solution of environmental, social and economic problems, and the problems of cultural development and education. RAIPON works to guarantee the right on protection of native homelands and traditional ways of life as well as the right to self governance according to the national and international legal standards.
The Saami Council
The Saami Council is a non-governmental organization (NGO), with member organizations in Finland, Russia, Norway and Sweden. The primary aims of the Saami Council are the promotion of Saami rights and interests in the four countries having Saami population, to consolidate the feeling of affinity among the Saami people, to attain recognition for the Saami as one nation and to promote economic, social and cultural rights of the Saami in the legislation of the four states, Norway, Sweden, Russia and Finland.
